About E.

E. Amato (she/her/hers) is a writer, editor, and performing poet. Her pilot script Majority Rules is in the Top 4% of discoverable scripts on Coverfly. Among its accolades are Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices SciFi/Fantasy Genre Winner, shortlist Amazon Studios Writer Slam, semifinalist in the Writers Lab NYC and Filmmatic's Pitch Now. She edited Judith Weston’s 25th Anniversary Edition of Directing Actors.

Her poems appear in recent anthologies Tia Chucha Press’ The Coiled Serpent, Voices from Leimert Park Redux, and 1001 Nights: Twenty Years of Redondo Poets. A member of The Body Is Not an Apology’s Leadership Circle in 2014 - 2015, E. Amato contributed articles to the groundbreaking radical self-love and bodily empowerment website.

As a performer and producer, E. Amato received 5-stars in consecutive runs at the Fringe Festival Edinburgh—a rare accomplishment—and toured extensively in the US and UK. From 2003 through 2019, she curated live poetry and music event series in Los Angeles, London, Edinburgh, and Berlin.

E. Amato holds a BFA in film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and a Certificate in Directing from the American Film Institute's Center for Advanced Film and Television Studies.
