About Laura

A multi-platform screenwriter, Laura has 17+ years of writing, production and directorial experience in award winning film, television and new media including VR, single cam/multi-cam projects and live events. A freelance writer-producer-director, development executive for Cooke Media Group in Los Angeles, and script consultant for Stage 32, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Studies and completed UCLA’s graduate Professional Program in Producing Film and Television.

An award-winning screenwriter, her most recent work includes a VR project written for a 360° environment for the Bible Society UK currently in production (co-writer), and Episode 5 for the 6-Episode TV series “Inexplicable” by TBN (co-writer) produced by Cooke Media Group. Her feature screenplay RINGING IN CHRISTMAS is a finalist in the CMA Content 2020 Film Festival (winner TBA February 2021) and she is the writer, co-producer and director of IN TUNE, Winner, Most Inspirational Short Film (ICFF) and Winner, Best Original Music (CMA Film Contest) and nominated for Best Director. the film has gained distribution on Amazon, Christian Cinema and CanZion’s Glou Cinema, with various ancillary products increasing its reach. She is in negotiations on other film and television projects in development with other producers, having written a TV pilot for the Los Angeles-based JPA Productions and a feature film for River Productions, CRY PURPLE.

Laura is the producer, director and contributing writer of the STEVE AND KATHY ministry television show seen on the ISN Network in the U.S. and in the Middle East and Israel on METV. As a writer and producer, Laura coordinated and served as a staff and contributing writer for THE STEVE AND KATHY SHOW, a variety television show garnering 65 Telly Awards and 3 regional Emmy Awards in three seasons.

Additionally, she directed and coordinated THIS IS REVIVAL PRAYER aired on CTN and coordinated the feature film 3 BLIND SAINTS featuring actors Richard Speight Jr. (SUPERNATURAL, BAND OF BROTHERS), award winning actor Stelio Savante (JO THE MEDICINE RUNNER, INFIDEL), Irma P. Hall and Barry Corbin. She helped spearhead iREVIVAL TV as a subscription-based online television show and served as communications director for the marketing and distribution of several film, television and new media projects.

As an author, Woodworth is a contributor to , iDisciple and Dove.org and a YouVersion Partner with multiple devotional plans with subscriptions 200K+ strong. She is a script consultant and book-to-screen adaptation consultant for Stage 32.
