I'm sure many of you have stories about the music distribution industry.

The UMG fight with TikTok has really hurt a lot of artists. Like Vine before it (which helped launch Shawn Mendes' career - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqZFr3_uqsA), TikTok is also where a lot of new music gets heard. I've seen new bands pop up in my feed to promote their music (https://www.tiktok.com/@gunshineband) and creators (https://www.tiktok.com/@laurinorris4) who talk about music feature new bands.

Enter -- you know who -- Taylor Swift. She epitomizes the "ownership is everything" model with her quest to re-record all of her music that was shysted from her previous music partner. She has managed to get her songs back on TikTok prior to the launch of her new album.
