WATERDOGS

WATERDOGS
By Robert Pullman

GENRE: Independent, Drama
LOGLINE:

The inspirational true story of a young family in search of a new start and "The American Dream" who end up in the fight of their lives to not lose everything forever.

SYNOPSIS:

In pursuit of the "American Dream" to escape the 'rat race' of the big city, and save his marriage, David Jameson, a strong-willed young

father sells everything, buys a small, country market, and moves his family to

Southern Appalachia, just before the 2008

"Great Recession."

Things quickly turn bad. In an effort to save the business, his home, and his family

David starts a movement to bring alcohol sales to the dry, southern county. Instantly, the community is dramatically split. He and his family are met with

dramatic and violent opposition.

With the economy crashing, and his marriage in jeopardy,

David is quite literally, in the fight of his life to not lose everything forever.

This is a Southern Gothic, character-driven drama where 'place' is as much a character as any of its players.
