A hospice nurse struggles with reality when an elderly, comatose patient begins terrorizing her dreams--and then drags the nightmare into her waking life.
SYNOPSIS:
The depressed make such easy targets--so desperate for a sense of purpose without the resolve to fight. Their self-loathing and helpless guilt are lighthouses in the darkness...beacons to feed on for demons in this existential plane, searching for a physical body to call home. This story is about a demon named Bernadette, trapped in a comatose woman for 50 years, who just saw the glimmer of a beacon up ahead in the new shift nurse.
Leigh has just been hired in the hospice ward, yoked with guilt for a husband she doesn't love with a child she never wanted, and looking for any work that keeps her from home. Struggling with feelings that drain the color from her every day, she's terrified she's manifested a psychosis after her new patient begins haunting her dreams--and then her life. Is Leigh headed for a psychotic break, or is a supernatural entity seeking her soul? We all know demons exist--the question is, does Leigh?

Normaly I would say this is just a long version of the inciting incident, and you must still explain what story the II leads to, but this time I feel your logline already works, got me wanting to no more...
