SYNOPSIS:
A ten minute live action horror story set in Mayo which draws on legends of Morrigan and the Féar Gortach (“Hungry Grass”).A young couple drive along a deserted road. Little do they know that the road passes through bogland that has seen centuries of tragedy and death. They spy a lone raven - the familiar of Morrigan, Celtic goddess of war and misery.A ghost-like woman almost causes them to crash their car, but when they look for her - she is gone. The angry souls of those who died tragically roam the nearby landscape seeking revenge upon the living. Their queen is Morrigan.
Wow, Simon! You scared me shit with this story. Thank Heavens I've never seen a ghost or though many in my family not only believed, but spoke to many. I stay away as much as possible from "The Believers" that was a movie based on my native Cuba, beliefs in an ancient religion. I'm writing a screenplay based on it, but it scares me to venture, but hey your story inspires me as it creep me out. Thanks for posting it here.
Jorge - Hi and sorry I never responded. I've only just seen your post today! Thanks so much for the comment - I really appreciate it. I was thoroughly creeped-out recently by the story of a Mexican couple attacked by an evil spirit called a "Lechuza"in their house in Texas. Very similar in many ways to the Irish ghost stories. Best wishes, Simon
