When his girlfriend leaves him for not being “big enough,” an introverted engineer will see a path of self-discovery turn into a journey into self-destruction when he starts using anabolic steroids.
SYNOPSIS:
Spenser Dodge had a great life once. His longtime girlfriend Emily lived with him, he had a great dog named Raylan that loved walks and a good job that paid well.
When she leaves, and takes the dog, Spenser is left with her final words: she wants someone bigger.
Joining a gym for the first time since his childhood, Spenser finds a mentor and some new friends.
Looking for inspiration, he falls under the charms of a social media influencer with some toxic attitudes and ideas about women, relationships, and sex. Think Andrew Tate but worse… and hilariously Australian.
Falling into the rabbit hole of bad ideas and forever chasing the idea of being “big,” Spenser will start using steroids and his life will turn dark as he pursues easy women and the ever-elusive gains.
As his life deteriorates, Spenser will continually make the wrong choice after wrong choice, his only refuge from an ocean of bad ideas being a barbell.
