VIRUS-99

VIRUS-99
By Rob Herzog

GENRE: Horror
LOGLINE:

The quarantine for a deadly virus is over, but the trouble has just started for a man keeping his bizarre family on permanent lockdown.

SYNOPSIS:

This short script is perfect for filming during the quarantine. One actor communicates with another via video teleconferencing. No special effects are needed. Cheap and easy to film. Single location.

Here is the story:

William does not believe his sister's claims that a deadly virus quarantine period has ended. In fact, he doubts that she is even alive. In William's mind, her call is part of a deep fake to lure people out of their safe zones.

After his sister says she's coming by to prove that all is clear, William prepares himself for the confrontation. He gathers his odd "family" and gives a pep talk. A sharp knife and a blowtorch are part of his preparations.

When the knock comes at his door, William and his "family" must decide whether to open up or fight back. Choosing a reality has never had higher stakes.
