By Mark Palmer

GENRE: Thriller, Action
LOGLINE:

A vengeful stand-up comedian moonlights as a murderous vigilante, dodging police as he delivers laughs and dark justice in equal measure.

SYNOPSIS:

When a stand-up comedian says, "I killed tonight", it means they had an incredible comedy show, it doesn't mean they actually killed someone...or does it?

KILLED IT is a 30 minute action, thriller TV series about a "serial killing" stand-up comedian. Every comedian has daydreamed about what they’d like to do to that unsmiling, rude, miserable audience member that they constantly focus on, even though the room is filled with 100’s, sometimes 1000’s of smiling, laughing faces. They will always come back to that one miserable face over and over again, without fail. These daydreams wouldn’t be filled with jokes and laughs, they’ll be dark and possibly even edged with violence, remaining hidden, safe in the dark recesses of their minds. In this the pilot episode, when the audience member from hell goes too far, a comedian decides to unleash those dark and violent thoughts and does the unthinkable, she makes that audience member pay...with their life.

The pilot episode introduces the viewer to MAGGIE BISHOP the long time professional stand-up comedian with a very dark side and a very sharp cutthroat razor. This story brings the viewer into the real life world of the touring stand-up comedian as well as the actual comedy scene and further into the dark and dangerous world and mind of Maggie Bishop. It's not easy being a comedian, it's even tougher when you're a female comedian.

This action, thriller set against a stand-up comedy backdrop is like Dexter with elements of Birdman.
