Enter the world of Crashers!

Crashers

is a gritty, action-packed story about a group of young people who get caught up in the seamy underworld of auto insurance fraud. After losing their "real" jobs, the avaricious trio stages car accidents to collect the insurance blood money. It is an edgy story that chronicles the nightmarish descent of the characters as events spiral out of control.

Through a series of intertwined yet separate events, Crashers takes us from the contented lives of our young protagonists, to a web of lies and corruption, leading to a lethal tragic ending. The story takes place during a blistering hot summer on the angry and crowded streets of Los Angeles, California. The two young leads, Nathan and Shari, are engaged, happy and blissfully unaware that their lives are about to change. When the couple find themselves at the end of their rope, they resort to dangerous and careless behavior to survive. When Shari meets the sexy and mysterious Bryce, he leads her into the world of crime and teaches her how to be a “capper”. As Shari becomes more and more obsessed with her strange new world, she drags the reluctant Nathan down with her. What starts out as a game turns deadly, as the characters change from productive members of society, to greedy and sadistic criminals.

Crashers is raw and disturbing, a powerful cautionary tale about what happens when people are seduced by the lure of easy money and cheap thrills. It is an utterly harrowing account of some young and beautiful kids, whose greed and love of the fast life, leads them on a horrifying descent into self-destruction and death. Crashers is fast paced, thrilling and has a broad demographic appeal. It also takes a unique slant on the genre, as this idea is completely original. In particular, the story should appeal to a young, male audience. Any fan of the action/car chase genre will enjoy Crashers.

Love the Logline but hate the Synopsis. It feels like another film taking a jab at the desperate mentality late-stage capitalism has made on Americans, along the line of I care a lot, Parasite, or Nightcrawler, or such.

That looks very interesting Lindy, compelling, I'd love to read the full script. I'm not seeing many screenplays attached to profile. Now I'm not sure if I should have uploaded mine. I've registered it, so I thought it would be okay to share it.

Zorrawa, yes I do. I wrote the novel a couple of years ago, and now I have the screenplay version of my book. I have the fantasy that my books would make good movies, lol.
