The discovery of his absent father’s treasure journal sets Finn on a quest to locate a long forgotten haul of Spanish Armada gold, unaware that the re-emergence of the journal has alerted a rival.

SYNOPSIS:

Imagine discovering your absent father didn’t abandon you as a child as you were lead to believe, but went missing while searching for a long lost haul of Spanish Armada treasure.

Finn’s trip to his father’s childhood home was to be one of necessity, a staging point on a planned emigration for Finn and his Mum, Annie, to America. The trip turns into an adventure in its own right when a stray bounce on a bed leads Finn to discover the long lost treasure journal of his father Conor, who walked out on Annie and Finn 13 years ago when he refused to put them before his all consuming quest for the treasure.

Armed with the clues in the journal and the assistance of an elderly fisherman, Thomas, Finn sets out to complete his father’s quest and locate the Spanish Armada gold, unaware that someone close to him was working with a local property developer, Brendan O’Hare, who is himself desperate to find the fabled treasure, saving his troubled business venture in the process.

As Finn and Thomas close in on the gold they hit a major problem when they learn the last person to know the whereabouts of the gold, Joseph Gallagher, took the secret of its location to his grave, possibly literally. The pending flight to America and Thomas’s reluctance to desecrate a grave seems to end their quest. That is until Finn learns that not only has Thomas been betraying him to O’Hare but the pair have dug up Joseph’s grave and located the final clue - a map without names.

This leaves Finn with a difficult choice; give up on the gold and any chance of fulfilling his father’s legacy or beat them to the treasure and fulfil his family’s destiny.
