By Tom Batt

GENRE: Thriller, Crime
LOGLINE:

A young prostitute exacts brutal revenge on the man who killed her friend.

SYNOPSIS:

A young girl, Devlin, sits on the window sill in a bedroom smoking a cigarette. Near her in the bed is the body of a dead man, his face smashed in, blood soaking the sheets. She goes into the bathroom and splashes water on her face. As she stares at her reflection she thinks back to what brought her to this moment.

A few hours earlier Devlin sits in a bar alone drinking. She is staring at a photograph of her friend who was found murdered several days before. She remembers the night they were working on the street corner and the man that picked up her friend and took her away forever. She glances down the bar to see this very same man sitting along from her. He looks back at her and she smiles seductively.

They arrive at his apartment and he pours her a glass of wine, but she is keen to get him to the bedroom. Excited by her enthusiasm he wastes no time stripping off and getting under the covers. Devlin goes into the bathroom to “freshen up”. She uses this time to gather her thoughts and build her confidence. When she returns to the bedroom she blindfolds him and ties his hands, much to his delight.

After straddling him, she reaches down to her handbag and pulls out a hammer. She then proceeds to bash his face in, spraying blood around the room and over herself. Devlin then lights a cigarette and walks over to the window sill.

She has now caught up with her memories, back in the bathroom staring at her reflection. She gathers her things together and exits the room leaving the body in darkness
