What does everyone think of this year's Cannes lineup?

This year's Cannes has some big directorial names with Coppola, George Miller, Yorgos, Schrader, Audiard, Sorrentino, and Papa Cronenberg. Even Coralie Fargeat is back with her first film since REVENGE (2017). What are you most excited to see?

I like the lineup, Pat Alexander! I'm really looking forward to “Megalopolis,” “Furiosa,” "The Substance," and "Bird."

Richard "RB" Botto

Very strong lineup again. Thierry ain't screwin' around. I'm already working on my Megalopolis tixs ;)

Pat Alexander

Yeah, it's Megalopolis for me too. Really hope this is a great swan song for FFC.

Richard "RB" Botto

Don't count him out just yet. Apparently in development on another! This time off of a novel, however.

Robin Gregory

Richard "RB" Botto , can you tell us more about Coppola's next project? The book?

All American - CW & Netflix - Season 6 finishing Filming soon.

Hi All! I've been busy working All American and haven't been able to post/comment this past month or so! Thought I'd post a little bit about my show. Thing about TV is no matter how big or small the episode is, it's 8 days to shoot. Or at least on regular network/cable show. Sometimes it's 7, we are...

A sad state of affairs, indeed. Coppola deserves better.

Seems today's current corporate bosses & their marketing experts dont care about track records. Del Toro & Spike Lee has said for years they can't get funding. Recent news, Netflix dropped K Bigelow & Koepp project.

Stan Evans

Maybe it's just a bloated, indulgent film? You can't always rest on your laurels. Anyone see Coppola's Youth Without Youth? It was a disaster.

Xochi Blymyer

The last line of that article says it's "So not good". Now I want to see it. Somehow, he'll get it picked up I bet.

"Rust" Armorer Found Guilty, Sentenced To 18 Months

It's been a minute since we had an update on the Rust shooting incident. At the time, if you look back at my posts, my opinion as someone with decades of set experience - and having directed and produced lots of action and stunt sequences - was that the armorer was primarily to blame, as well as the...

^^^^ leadership or lack of leadership starts at top and flows down. Never up. If you ever worked as crew for money/livilhood, the set is a dictatorship (my experiences).

Stephen Folker

M LaVoie Agree with you 100% on this.

Suzanne Bronson

Thanks Stephen & M!

Pat Alexander

Based on her subpoena'd texts and recorded phone calls in prison, the armorer showed little remorse and a jarring lack of responsibility for her actions.

Xochi Blymyer

No one should ever ever touch a gun on set unless the armorer has checked it first and gives permission to hold to actor. Never. Period. As a 1st AD for a long time, I don't care who's rushing, I stil...
