I just heard about this, Karen "Kay" Ross. My condolences to his friends and family. He was an incredible actor. I remember him best for Apollo Creed.

So many things @Karen (tagging seems to work randomly) Carl Weathers is a childhood staple. He was "that guy" who was in everything in the 80s.

This one gutted me, Karen "Kay" Ross. I remember him mostly from the Rocky movies and was incredibly happy for him when he landed, "The Mandalorian". In my mind, I'll always think of him dancing around James Brown.

I always think of Predator when I think of Carl. I may need to watch that this week in his honor.
The Mandalorian is going to have a void without him. He's been great in that series and they've used his character as a bit of a plot device throughout the seasons to help provide safety and exposition to Mando and his allies. He will be missed.4 people like this

Although in recent years, I would see Carl at the Directors Guild, at meetings and events, I first met him on one of the first movies I worked on, Action Jackson. I was a stand-in at the time. He was larger than life, very kind, and a pleasure to work with too. It's a great memory.

Such a legend. He was the king of supporting roles. If you saw Carl show up in a movie or show, you knew he was going to steal scenes.
