My question is, are there any scenarios where I can maintain some creative control over my story and select some of the music if I sell my life rights?

Hi Lisa M . Welcome! I agree with Linwood Bell . I'll be working on a film based on the true life of an artist and we have a consultant nominated by their heirs, so I guess this was negotiated and agreed. I hope this helps!

Hi Elena. Yes, this is helpful. I'm hoping I can at least negotiate a consultant arrangement as well.
