Just joined Stage32 and it's great to be here! I'm hosting a score study this Saturday for the Perspective Forum members on Facebook. We will be studying The Rocketeer by James Horner, published by Chris Sidall Music. If you're interested in attending, here are the details below. I have about 15 spots left.

We will also be showing PDFs from the score and listening to the soundtrack for our discussion throughout the session.

Wish I could make it. Sounds like a good time. I see you got to spend some time with Ron Jones. Wow! What a freak of nature he is. He can write like crazy! I’ve watched his ASMAC masterclass a few times. That must have been a great experience.

That's a great score! Last year, I did the sound editorial and mix for a documentary on Dave Stevens, the creator of the Rocketeer character. It's on Prime and the Roku channel. It's called "Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection."

Hi Linwood Bell, should be a fun hang. And I'm super excited about our guest panel especially Bruce Dukov who played under Horner's baton. Yes, Ron is the best! He would have these wonderful hangs and we'd all talk music and it'd be a low pressure and we'd learn a ton. He can definitely write. I probably heard his work when I was kid watching Duck Tales every day afterschool. Hopefully you can make our next one. We'll probably do an Aliens or Willow score study next. I'll keep you posted.

It's been so long since I've seen "Duck Tales," Nicolás Repetto. I need to revisit it. Did Ron Jones write the theme song?

Maurice Vaughan If I remember correctly, he just wrote the underscore for the TV show, not the main title song.
