Hi All! I've been busy working All American and haven't been able to post/comment this past month or so! Thought I'd post a little bit about my show. Thing about TV is no matter how big or small the episode is, it's 8 days to shoot. Or at least on regular network/cable show. Sometimes it's 7, we are lucky that it's kept at 8. If you know anything about All American, there are football games, beach locations or any location and crowd that suits the script of that episode. As the 6th season of filming comes to a close, there's some challenging sequences! Sometimes football games, it has to be decided who's in the stands...real background actors or VFX people, because the cost and time make the difference. How difficult are the football plays, actors vs real football players who double the cast? Ensemble cast sometimes all get together! With 8 actors in a party scene, that's a lot of coverage and a lot of shooting time. And sometimes the episode is all about the couples and what they call a bottle episode, all being shot on stage in sets that are already built. With all that unknown until the script lands in our hands to begin prep, it's still 8 days of filming! And it always gets done. Anyway, that's what I've been up to and I'm now finishing prep on my last episode of the season. Always a feeling of accomplishment along with a big of sadness as another season ends. Also wondering if it will be picked up for a new season. Such is this business! You never know til you know, you know?
Hi, Xochi Blymyer! 7/8 days to shoot is tight. I've been meaning to check out "All American." "Shōgun" is almost over, so I might start watching "All American" soon.

Oh my gosh, I just looked you up on IMDb, Xochi Blymyer! You worked on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! That's one of my favorites. And George of the Jungle! What a fantastic list you have on there. You must have so many amazing stories to tell.

Dustin Richardson - hi! I’ve done these last two seasons of AA. I’ve been around awhile, haha, so yes, have many stories! Asmaa Jamil - thank you and yes, it is great when a writer understands some of these details for sure.

Maurice Vaughan - it’s slightly different than Shogun but is binge worthy and easy to watch.
