Introduce Yourself : Hello Creatives! by Lark Anderson

Lark Anderson

Hello Creatives!

Hello! I'm an author that has a lot of exciting things going on. I love writing romantic comedies and dystopian, apocalyptic romances (two VERY different genres}. In my spare time, I'm a total nerd and love playing Magic: The Gathering. Previously, I've worked with a production company, but covid hit and the project went away, which I'm fine with.

Currently, I'm partnering with an amazing group and in order to make the most out of the endeavor, I have to ::gulp:: be more active on social media. I'm a HUGE introvert(in real life and online) and this is very scary to me. I'm hoping to meet some like minded people here that might want to band together and encourage each other to post.

I'd love to hear from you!

Hi, Lark Anderson. Welcome to the community. I'm a huge introvert in real life. I was a huge introvert online, but I got used to networking/interacting with people/building relationships. Here are some blogs on networking that should help you: www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41

Preston Poulter

Hi Lark Anderson.

It just so happens, I made the top 8 of the first two MtG Pro Tours ever held, way back in 1996.

I create comic books and review screenplays and scripts on my YouTube channel.

David Lee Melton

Have you done regular comedy? I have a concept pitch for a sitcom.

John Michael German

Hello:

First - lovely name. Unique, at least to those I've networked with.

Secondly, fantastic of your successes and the endeavors you've referenced. I'm a fan of romantic comedies as I entered "Love Sarcastically" into this year's Stage32 contest and am interested in writing a horror, romantic comedy.

I used to play Magic a little back in younger educational times - a fun, imaginative, and enjoyable game for any age group.

In terms of being an introvert - I think each introvert has that extroversion within, though more so around company each knows more. So, hopefully, you can connect with various on here and other sections (Twitter's #WritingCommunity seems quite the fellowship) and bloom that inner extroversion a teenie bit.

Thankful for your roads.

God Bless,

John German

Lark Anderson

Hi David Lee Melton! I typically stick with rom-coms. I enjoy the dynamic more and they're more fun for me to write. Good luck on your pitch! That's super exciting!

Lark Anderson

Hi John Michael German ! It must be so exciting entering contests. I'm SO far away from that at this point, but maybe one day I'll be there too! I can definitely see more horror romance smashing into the market.

Lark Anderson

Preston Poulter - Seriously? The last MTG pro tour I watched was when Reid Duke won, which wasn't too long ago. And I LOVE comic books. Back in the day I read... X-Men, Age of Apocalypse completed, Mutant X, Generation X, and a few others (centered around the X world). What a time for comics!!!!

John Michael German

Hello:

Was not chosen for "Six Company" nor "Life Under the Sea", but no worries - as my submissions mainly are for fun and the enjoyment of someone reading the actual writing.

The Romantic Comedy contest notifications are a month+ away, so intriguing to find out who's chosen for that one as well.

Now, for horror, I got grand feedback for "Ok Mother" and am currently in contests for that one - but that's outside of Stage32 (Currently one selected into one festival, one a nominee so far, and the other still undecided).

Enjoy the adventure that writing and submitting to contests present - your passion, fun loving personality, and desire to endeavor through this networking will only brighten your possibilities.

All the best.

Thankful within every path your heart gifts.

God Bless,

John German

Lark Anderson That's awesome. I encourage you to order issue #1 of my comic book series, Guinevere and the Divinity Factory, debuting at your local comic store this month.

Well done - good to meet you.

Ben Henning

Hi Lark! Nice to meet you. I think you chose a good community in Stage 32-- I've had positive experiences so far. Tell me more about this project! Who do you work with and what are you creating?

Lark Anderson

Ben Henning Hi Ben! I'm contracted to write 5-6 book series for Hunks the Show, a male touring group. The CEO is has a great vision and he's actually been one of the easiest people I've ever worked with. After the books are released we've discussed crowdfunding for file, because Magic Mike was met with such success, but even if that never happened, I'm having a blast doing what I love.

Sam Sokolow
