I Love the Ambient sounds from Grain States - the music Library in which I used to made a nice film music sample INow, switching from the 2011 iMac to the 2020 iMac, Grainstate doesn’t work any more. Use to work real good w Native / NI also.
I contacted Kontakt and the GrainStates company and it’s now been over 1-2 years.
Kontakt offered a little bit of customer service, and the Grainstates Company said it should work.
I can share the error messages on the new Mac later.
Could anyone help with this type of error / problem? I know this is Post-Production and my thinking is hoping other people have dealt with 3rd party software w / Kontakt.
This is one of the errors - ‘does not work with “current” version of Kontakt’.

Hey Kerry Kennard unfortunately Kontakt and 3rd party developers have to have very specific versions line up in order to work. I still have VSTs that only work on a specific version of Kontakt and not others. I've never found any work around, so you might have to install older versions or newer versions of kontakt for things to work. Not everything is backwards compatible. Hope you're able to get things sorted out.

I use Kontakt and unfortunately they made major changes to the library in after 2011. This falls under Grain States responsibility. They need to provide a solution or upgrade path to work with the current version of Kontakt or let you know which version it works with. You can usually run multiple versions of Kontakt on the same machine.
