Survey for doctoral research

Hello,

I've been a member of Stage 32, for ten years, most of that while I have been doing academic study. I'm currently finishing my doctorate in Transmedia and looking at ageism with the production of content. I would love to know your thoughts, as producers or part of the production team, and please feel free to share this short survey with anyone you feel would be interested.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Any questions please feel free to PM me or email (in link).

regards,

Mandi

Interesting topic. Both in the context of :

- " Too old to have any good, fresh ideas."

and

- "Age demographics." content for 24 to 55-year-olds.

Anyone have an idea how much TV watching and streaming retired people watch?

It's astronomical.

Talk about becoming invisible when you get past a certain age.

Hello:

The Golden Girls were a classic that even younger audiences could giggle and have fun viewing. As someone who is 43, there are plenty of YouTube and other content that could be seen as younger audiences, but with an open mind - tons of potential in entertainment and enjoyable content.

I thought of an older Romantic Comedy, that went off this Ad (the two guys sitting while the woman goes by) and showcased the roads of dating for people who are over 50, 60+ that could have audiences chuckling and playfully realizing that love can be found, and enjoyable moments are not only for younger paths.

Gratitude within each path your steps plant.

God Bless,

Charlotte Grant from my research the average older adult watches 9 hours + TV per day, but media stakeholders still focus on 'new' adults, who watch on average 1.5 hours.

I'm 52, and would not count myself as older, there are a few initiatives at the moment to engage older people over 50!! 50! A s a rule we seem to forget that we are living older, and boundaries change.
