Hi everyone! I am new to the lounges but have written a couple of blogs in the producer blogs and wanted to share here as well. Please read and if you have questions I am always happy to interact and either share, research, or find someone with more information than me to lead people in the correct direction!

Awesome blog on production insurance, Stephanie Moore. I remember telling an early mentor that I wanted to be a producer and their response was, "Great - first get a production insurance policy and then you can start reading scripts". Stuck with me always. Excited for the upcoming webinar on production insurance - a must watch!

Certain equipment and facilities rentals require insurance. So if your production is above no-budget, you’ll probably need it just to get what you want.

Mike Boas absolutely, and with E&O insurance it is needed to make sure that someone doesn't decide that something about the project is theirs, or that paperwork wasn't done correctly or something like that, and try to come after you as well, they can try but E&O makes it a bit harder to do. I saw the reply on the other post but, thought it might be helpful here too.

Yup, always want insurance for proper film shoots. So much stuff can always happen! The cost is never not worth it!

Nope. IT is such a big risk to ignore the coverage of liability! Too many risk factors.
