Your Stage : Best place for peer feedback? by Eduardo Anton

Best place for peer feedback?

Hello friends,

I am an amateur screenwriter coming from the visual effects world. In an effort to better understand the front end of the pipeline, I've taken to writing and have made my first half-hour sci-fi pilot.

I am currently looking for other screenwriters to review my script and provide feedback besides the existing paid resources, but I don't know the best place to find them (websites, blogs?).

Needless to say, I would happily reciprocate and provide a free vfx consultation to better understand any vfx challenges in your script and any other help I can provide.

My day job is to review scripts and produce the vfx for them, my last one being Upload S3 with Greg Daniels.

Feel free to check out my resume and website, and if you are interested please reach out, I would love to hear people's feedback.

Production Vfx Supervisor and On-Set Vfx Supervisor for the series. Worked on set for 4 months and 7 months in post production. The show is made of 8 episodes with 200 vfx shots each, with a wide rang…

The best place you could that, in my opinion, is Coverfly. It's free, as long as you give feedback in order to improve your score. Best of luck!

Awesome thanks for the reply Marcel!

Hey, Eduardo Anton. You could make a post in the Screenwriting Lounge (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting).

Maurice Vaughan How do we attach a script to a post? Do we just provide a link?

Maurice Vaughan

Scripts can't be attached to posts/comments, Dustin Archibald, but you could attach one page of a script to a post/comment by clicking the mountain picture that's beside the red arrow button. Posting a link to a full script in a post/comment works.

You're welcome, Dustin Archibald.

Hi Eddie, I'd love to read your pilot. I give good notes! I'm a writer and director; my scripts have won/placed in some good contests, I've read for Austin Film Festival and other competitions, and I'm on the ISA Development Slate: https://www.networkisa.org/profile/john-harden

I'm currently in prep on a pretty ambitious sci-fi short and would love to get your thoughts on some of the VFX challenges I've set for myself. Send me a DM or whatever they call it here! Thanks :)

Mike Boas Your SSL certificate has a misconfiguration and so browsers are flagging it as suspicious.

"Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for rwwny.org. The certificate is only valid for the following names: www.rwwny.org, www.bluemoonfilms.net, waynecoughlin.com, www.waynecoughlin.com, www.bmeg2000.com, www.linartny.com"

You'll need to add rwwny.org (which is different from www.rwwny.org) to it.

@Eduardo The screenwriting lounge would be a good place to post, you’d probably find more readers there. I’d look at the Sci Fi in June when back at my desktop.

Thanks Dustin. It’s on my to do list. I set it up properly once upon a time, but SSL expired and it needs fixing. Frustrating because we’re not collecting any data so there’s nothing insecure about it.
