Stage 32 4-Part Screenwriting Class: How to Write Compelling Characters with Writing Exercises!

When writing a TV pilot or a feature, it is so important to flesh out your characters before you even open Final Draft. So many writers skip this step – but I promise that your dialogue will be ten times better if you know the inner workings of your characters minds and have developed a detailed backstory for each of them before typing “Fade In.”

After creating a beat sheet laying out all the scenes of my script – that’s when I dive into deep character work. That’s what I will walk you through during this 4-week course. I will tell you my whole process and I will show you examples of what this looks like so that you can do it as well. We will have assignments each week so that you can put my advice into practice.
