I’ve been here for many years now. I have written over 20 spec feature film screenplays. I have also written a few for hire. I was also a Staff Writer for a year and also worked for two production companies as a Script Consultant and did quite a few rewrites for them. Also, I had the pleasure of writing two screenplays with Judy Norton that she will star in.

Maurice Vaughan It was okay but that wasn't what I wanted to do so I quit after working there for a year.

How many days did you and the other writers have to write a script, Dan Guardino? I'm guessing not many because an episode airs every week.

Nice to meet you, Dan Guardino. First off, sweet ride! Second, what do you find the most challenging when adapting a novel into a screenplay?

Hi Dan Guardino - Judy's done some amazing work. What are you screenplays with her about?

Hi Sam Sokolow. Yes, Judy Norton has done some amazing work. I enjoyed adapting two novels with her. The are both spec screenplays. One is called Tapestry. It is about a woman that travels back in time so her married lover will be free to be with her. She accidentally creates a paradox that can get her killed. The other one is called The Devil is in the Details. It is about a Police Detective who is haunted by nightmares after his wife’s murder and his job hangs by a thread when he has another serial killer on his hands.

Maurice Vaughan. I only worked on features. We had 90 days to complete a first draft and 30 to do a rewrite.

Dan Guardino good to see your reintroduction, Dan! What stirs you to write, what’s your passion?

Geoff Hall My goal wasn’t to be a writer so I am not sure I share the same passion most people here have. However, I do like the challenge that screenwriting offers and I do like working with other people that I get along with. Good luck to you and your projects.

Oh ok, Dan Guardino. I thought you meant a Staff Writer in a writers' room. 90 days to complete a first draft and 30 to do a rewrite are good amounts of time. I aim for 2-3 weeks for a first draft and 20-30 days for a rewrite.
