About PolyD

Oork! I'm going to mess with your mind, and drag you down into my misery, where you'll laugh yourself to death.

Based in New Zealand. I’ve been working as a freelancer since 2013.

Sitting down by the side of the tracks, reading Stephen King's It...while listening to Korn, Life is Peachy on my portable cassette player.

Hey there, I'm Polydina Flynt, and I'm about to take you on an electrifying journey through the enchanting realms of words, pixels, and boundless imagination. Join me as I explore the exhilarating world of creativity and innovation like never before.

You can find most of my stuff I’m either working on and/or is finding an audience via my website: that’s non-fiction books - mostly self-publishing at this stage. A few novels. TV scripts - often to turn into fmv (cinematic) video games. And visual (interactive) “Twine” novels - both aiming for Steam. I write lyrics for songs and I do basic affordable webdev via the mobile-friendly free builder “Beacons”, or responsive WordPress sites, for fellow indies.

I also write cartoons and…
From crafting mesmerising digital interactive applications as simulations of promenade theatre or theoretical digital environments; to bringing mecha cartoons to life, delving into indie video game development - with my small personal art projects as open source via Patreon, collab projects for Steam or major projects via my studio; I’ve co-founded BG ArtHouse Studio and we’re working on our first two video games for Patreon and Steam over the next 1-2yrs. And creating captivating digital designs, I'm your ultimate guide through the wondrous world of artistic expression. With a passion for storytelling and a flair for all things gaming, I'm your creative companion, and we're embarking on an epic adventure together.

I'll be your window into a multitude of creative wonders. We'll dive deep into the world of fiction writing, where I'll share secrets, codes on structure that will help your form, and insights to help you craft your captivating tales. Join me in the digital design universe, where I'll unlock the secrets of crafting stunning visuals and game art. We'll explore the art of comic strip creation, revisit the nostalgia of retro gaming, and immerse ourselves in the world of FMV (cinematic) video games. Together, we'll even take a journey into the fascinating world of digital theatre, and so much more.

I've been weaving stories for games as a freelancer since 2004, and my narratives often dance between the lines of neo-noir chiller, post-modern grimdark and B-sci-fi movie homage, with characters heavily influenced by the wild and wacky world of Troma and narratives that could make even the two Cronenbergs and Monty Python proud.

My core creative projects span a wide spectrum, from my intriguing non-fic book that explores the intricacies of nerd culture business to my comic construction and my passion for fiction writing and tabletop role-playing games. I also have a degree in screenwriting and have been writing serious (300pgs) narrative manuscripts and GDDs since 1995. And I have a degree-level qualification in 2d art direction for animation as well as work experience at the tv studio, radio studio, and touring a children’s play around local primary schools by bus - a play we co-wrote and co-produced. I also starred in it as a wise half-naked Native American Indian - parodying Wayne’s World 2, which was parodying The Doors by Oliver Stone.

Catch me every other Thursday at 10:30 p.m. NZT on YouTube and Tiktok, as I unveil captivating videos that will keep you hooked on the rollercoaster of creativity. And get ready to be part of this extraordinary creative journey. Together, we'll shape worlds, craft stories, and ignite the fires of imagination. Let's make magic happen!
