DEFYING THE ODDS
By Tasha McLemore

GENRE: Drama, Comedy
LOGLINE:

A group of 40-year-old friends gather for their yearly trip and learn that the changes in the world will test their decades-old friendship as they are forced to find the truth within themselves and each other.

SYNOPSIS:

Debra has not had luck in the love department and usually looks for love in all the wrong places. That has left her a single mother living almost on the poverty line. Debra must first forgive those who wronged her as a child before she can have that true love.

Rachel seems to have the man, house, and job she has always dreamed of, but that has made her blind to what it took to get there. Wanting to forget the obstacles she has overcome, Rachel lives in her fantasy world. Rachel will learn that she will have to go back to where she started to get where she wants to be.

Susan has everything: houses, cars, clothes, and a super-rich Conservative husband. Susan has learned that to live the good life, she must follow her husband’s way of seeing things. Susan will realize that having it all is worth nothing if you don’t have your true self.

They will all realize that their obstacles will only be overcome by looking at themselves and leaning on each other.
