About Margaret

I am a screenwriter and novelist, and have adapted several of my books for the screen including Lies and Lust in the Tudor Court: The Fifth Wife of Henry VIII. The Fifth Queen, my screenplay adapted from my novel, won a Platinum award at the Women's International Film Festival, and was a Semi-finalist in the Fade in True Story Bio/pic awards. My screenplay Portuguese Love Letters is another historical drama based on the true story of Mariana Alcoforado, a 17th-century nun whose love letters to a French officer created a scandal that rocked her convent and all of Paris. Her love letters inspired artists over the centuries, including Elizabeth Barrett Browning to write Sonnets from the Portuguese. It was a 2024 Platinum Award winner at the Paris/Cannes Screenplay Awards and was also awarded Best Feature Screenplay. It was also recently a finalist in the LA International Screenplay Awards. I have also completed a romantic-comedy entitled, Down to Heaven. I am currently at work on a Sci/Fi Fantasy screenplay entitled, The Knowledge Keeper, based on my Merlin series of books.
