About Yohanna

Yohanna's first taste of transmedia storytelling was as part of the first immersive marketing team for The TRUTH anti-tobacco campaign- where the web and television advertising themes were translated to real life events and experiences.

She has recently won the first European Performing Arts and Transmedia Lab grant. This development grant was used to form the performance art aspect for her current transmedia project.

Yohanna was also a participant in the Artist Summer Institute- a 5 day intensive professional development workshop for artists- presented by Creative Capital and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. She learned invaluable information for her professional growth.

A former production assistant for the The Tavis Smiley Show and various reality shows for BBC Worldwide-- Yohanna produced a short documentary about tourism in her native Dominican Republic. The documentary was an official selection at the Boston Latino International Film Festival, Costa Rica International Film Festival and inducted into the CUNY Dominican Studies Institute library.
