About Alyssa

I am a filmmaker, writer, and producer working in Los Angeles. I've dreamed of working in Hollywood since I was a kid, starting with acting and writing short stories, then began filmmaking at Vassar College where I directed, wrote, and edited 5 short films and collaborated on 6 more. My short film "Sleepover" was a Top 10 Finalist in the Calvin Klein whatruin2? International Film Competition. Since then I have worked mainly in documentary but my goal is to transition to narrative TV. Currently, I am the showrunner of Icons Unearthed, a documentary series about the making of iconic film franchises. As a producer I have worked on a variety of documentary series including the Movies That Made Us and the Center Set: 55 Years of Star Trek, the Emmy nominated Watergate: Blueprint for a Scandal, The Strongest Man in History, Fish My City, as well as documentary features such as Helen Whitney's "Forgiveness: A Time to Love and a Time to Hate" a special that aired on PBS in April 2011, "Heaven + Earth + Joe Davis" which premiered at IFF Boston.
