LIFEPOD 6
By William Gunn

GENRE: Sci-fi, Adventure
LOGLINE:

When a sole astronaut escapes from a doomed mission, his only choice is the possibility of life aboard a cramped escape pod with very limited supplies. While his last few hours tick down all he can do is relive old memories and hope and pray for an unlikely rescue.

SYNOPSIS:

LIFEPOD 6 is a gripping, character-driven science fiction drama that explores the psychological and physical struggles of an astronaut, who is stranded in space. As he faces his potentially final hours in an escape pod, the narrative interweaves his current predicament with flashbacks of his life, offering a profound look at human resilience and the indomitable spirit in the face of isolation.

With limited air, water, and food, his situation is dire. As he grapples with his dwindling supplies and fading hope, his thoughts drift to moments from his past - his rigorous training, his family, and significant events that shaped his life and career.

Truth to tell, I'm only going to do this as a 'One-Shot'. Although the various elements you've raised will make it a much better story without a doubt. From a Pretty Good Tale to an Excellent Tale. I'll definitely mention your Name when I accept the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay (LOL!!!) I can Hope!!!!! Mark, please send me an email at wgunn1953@outlook.com I think we have much to discuss!!!

It's funny, but I thought that Harlan Ellison did a story called LIFE HUTCH that was adapted by LOVE DEATH & ROBOTS on NETFLIX. He did, and I watched it. It's very GOOD in fact, But LIFE HUTCH and LIFEPOD 6 have nothing in common. They both take place in space, but Harlan's story is about a Pilot who has to fight a damaged robot in order to survive after crash-landing on an deserted planet. LIFEPOD 6 is about an astronaut who is aboard an escape pod after his spaceship is too damaged to survive, No similarities at all. My story takes place in Open Space not on a Planet. There are dozens of stories about Survivors all throughout history to count. Robinson Crusoe and Life of Pi are both about survivors, but they are totally different takes on the Trope.

Mark, is FINAL ORBIT a possible new title for LIFEPOD 6, or is it a different story all together? If it is a new name, I think I'm going to keep the original but use your Synopsis and other Data Points for LIFEPOD 6, if that's okay with you? If it's another story, sorry for the confusion.
