Watching documentaries on HBO was a Saturday afternoon ritual for my sister and I. I felt called to produce non-fiction stories that reach an audience in an impactful way. Stories are the lifeblood of culture, but it's the ones with a truth in them that resonate the deepest. My time studying at the University of Missouri taught me how to balance film production talents with the creative side of journalism. Together, those two sides make the content I gravitated towards as a kid on those lazy Saturdays. It's my goal to use the talent are cultivated to make stories that reach people in new ways.
