About Zack

Zack Collins is a Screenwriter, Content Creator and Director for Philmwurks, an independent production company in Phenix City, Alabama/Columbus, Georgia (98 miles outside Atlanta). Zack is also a sitting full-time Family and Juvenile Court Judge.

Zack began his film career in 2008 directing music videos for local artists in Montgomery, Alabama and began studying all facets of the film industry from writing, directing, acting, producing, and editing. In 2012 he made his first short film called Past Due with then unknown comedian Karlous Miller (Wild-n-Out) and Ali Amin Carter (Lovecraft Country). Making his first trip to Sundance in 2013, Zack pitched Past Due during the Film Utah Pitch Contest where he won first place for best pitch. Two years later, Zack pitched a feature-length comedy called Breakin' Inn at Film Utah, again winning first place for best pitch.

For the next few years Zack would continue to hone his craft while practicing law and took a break from writing to run for District Judge in Alabama. But his love for writing and creating content continues to burn deep inside. Currently, Zack is developing a pilot for a reality-based Court TV show Comedy Court: Real Cases. Real Funny, District Court with Judge Zack Collins, a feature-length comedy called Joe Blough, half-hour single camera comedy called Going Postal, courtroom drama The Privilege and hour long tv drama named Juvie.

Zack is excited about networking on Stage 32 and continues to work at his craft and develop his ideas every day and owns a RED Camera package, Steadicam Aero gear, lenses, Ronin-MX, Black Magic 6K and other camera equipment.
