Hyrone Lilly

Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, I have written stories for as long as I can remember. I'm talking about elementary school long. It was an unknown passion that I possessed, yet I was adamant to keep it to myself. The reason for that, is because I was given an assignment. I finished it early, so the teacher told me to lay my head on the desk, or do something, but keep quiet. Well, I grabbed my pencil and paper, then I wrote a story. I remember that it took me a couple of days to do, since I never took it home. I kept it at my desk. When I finished it, I took it home. My aunt told me to show it to the teacher, see what she would think about it. I did the following day, and she asked to hold on to it. That was the last time I saw that story. Because of that ordeal, I never showed others my stories. So, I accumulated a couple of shoe boxes of materials, until my ex burned them. After that, I was more focused on where I stored my writings. In 2016, after I got off work, my mom would tape these script writing essays on my tv. I never took it serious because of where I'm from, so I just kept them to myself. In 2018, my mom asked me why I never did anything with my scripts, I was mainly a construction worker turned warehouse worker. What do I know anything about movies, except that it's made in Hollywood. Besides the point, who do I know in that kind of field that would give me the guidance that would help me out. I finally decided to get on Google and try this field out. I dealt with Celtx, la films and several other sites, but was not getting the feedback I wanted. Until I stumbled upon Stage 32. I admit that I was skeptical, since that other times I was mislead. But through the meetings, feedback and the people I met, I can say that I made the right decision, finally. Been here every since. If anyone is wondering, no I don't have the school training or the onsite experience. Lubbock, Texas. I have been reading books on script writing and directing. I also have been watching videos, podcasts and skits to further my knowledge on the matter
