As a kid, I dreamed of becoming an actress, earning enough money so I could one day own a farm. My brother dreamed of me becoming a brain surgeon so I could support our family. And while I am a big fan of dreams (both day and nocturnal), neither of our dreams came to fruition. I had a modicum of success in my 6th-grade summer school production of a comedic retelling of Tarzan and Jane - it was not, unfortunately, the launch pad I had hoped for. As I’m sure is true for many of us on this forum, writing has always been an outlet for as long as I can remember, and started writing screenplays about ten-ish years ago. I lean towards rom-com/dramedy, and would someday love to take a crack at some sci-fi/fantasy. I entered a few contests years ago and got as far as the semi-finals, but it has been so long ago, I can’t even remember what contest it was! I procrastinate with rewrites, so I am hoping for some Stage32 motivation. My ultimate weakness is loglines, and I have certainly been inspired by all the Pitch Sessions, Pitch Practice and attending every live webinar I can. I am not sure exactly how I discovered Stage32, but I am beyond grateful that I did! This creative, supportive and collaborative community is truly a gift beyond measure.
