Book synopsis:
Allison Lee had found a safe place with Megan and Benjamin McAllister since childhood. Ally and Ben built a friendship based on co-dependency that caused a rift between the siblings. Meg's overprotecting nature and Benjamin's obsessive behavior brought conflict to their family, creating a ruthless competition for Allison's attention.
When a terrible truth comes to the surface that threatens to break Ally's mental health, the McAllister siblings find themselves immersed in a surreal world that forces them to work together to protect their friend. Allison decides to go to the land of her ancestors in search of the answers she needs. But to achieve that, she has to find a way to enter another dimension filled with fantasy and magical creatures that are far from what her favorite books have ever described.
While Allison tries to make sense of her real identity and magical gifts, an unexpected love arrives. She has to choose between the chance to get what her heart most desires, putting her own life at risk, or a new start in another reality surrounded by magic and a promising new relationship.
The quest takes an even more dangerous turn when the friends discover that all the paths lead them irrevocably to a powerful enemy who has been haunting Allison's family for centuries.
