Joao Caleiro

I'm João, a 25 year old movie lover, from Portugal. I've been in love with movies and cinema ever since I could remember, which made want to study cinema after highschool. I finished my degree in Cinema in 2017 and it was there that I realized that screenwriting is the area that most interests and fulfills me. After college, I took a screenwriting course, that taught me a lot of discipline and I've been writing ever since.

I have written a feature length script alone, one with a friend, 6 short film scripts, that go from 5 to 50 pages long, and a couple of TV pilots.

I've decided to start working more on my writing craft, trying to write at least a page a day, finish some screenplays I've started writing, but never finished and writing down some new ideas.

Came to Stage32 so I could expand my networking abilities and meet some like-minded people and movie lovers such as myself, people interested in screenwriting to whom I can show my stories. And beside that, maybe, just maybe even find some writing opportunities here.
