About Caroline
Hello! My name is Caroline Liviakis. I am a director and choreographer based in Los Angeles.
As a filmmaker my two objectives are to:
1. Showcase the storytelling power of dance
2. Revive popular interest in the movie musical
I firmly believe that something can be pink, frilly, and fun, and still be a groundbreaking work of art.
I began my career as the Founder and Executive Artistic Director of the Caroline Liviakis Dance Company in San Francisco. I now bring my dance creations to film. I have directed and choreographed three short films: Boys and Girls, INeasyOUTbreezy, and Better Than You Doin You (don't be mad). My work has been hailed by MovieMaker Magazine, Marin Living Magazine, SF/Arts Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle. I am currently a dance faculty member at Loyola Marymount University.
