Shama Perera

Hello I’m Shama Perera, I’m 44, a mum of three and have worked in the city for 20 plus years. I’m not from the industry. I have a passion for screen writing and have written comedies, animations and family sagas. My whole essence is about the creation of uplifting content that will inspire audiences and make them smile. Whether it’s filling their nostrils with the smells of South East Asian food being eaten on screen or giving them belly laughs because a character is funny and colourful, I want to make audiences smile and fall in love with the people in my stories, so that they want to follow their journeys.
