About Doug

I keep my network small; accept few requests generally from those located near me with a few exceptions. I've been in/near the film environs since the mid '60s but my professional career was in the business world.

I'm retired now but over the decades I've been a writer (staff & indie), many of my scripts have won awards over the years. I've had to be a producer, director and editor as needed. I've periodically taught screenwriting and filmmaking – occasionally still do. I've been a script reader for a few Agents, Managers and Studios. I have experience as a festival director and screener/judge. I produce & air a modest Independent Filmmaker's Showcase cable tv show. I developed a Film Lab that brings new actors and screenwriters together to make short films for the festival circuit. I'm in the process of developing a film festival designed to enhance and promote indie filmmaking.

My personal goal is to promote and offer guidance to folk interested in the the filmmaking industry however I can.
