A feisty Scottish 16yr-old helps her friend escape from a brothel in order to save her 10year old sister from being sacrificed to the Ghanaian shrine gods.

SYNOPSIS:

The screenplay centers on Krisi, a 16-year-old Scottish girl who is forced to move to Ghana with her father. There she befriends Gifty, a young girl forced into prostitution to pay off a family debt. Krisi tries to help Gifty but Gifty ends up murdered. Krisi sets out to get justice for Gifty and prevent Gifty's younger sister Praise being sacrificed to a shrine god as atonement for the family's mistakes.This brings Krisi into conflict with shady characters like the brothel owner Romant and Pastor Banini. Ultimately Romant is arrested, Pastor Banini's corruption is exposed, and Praise is rescued from being sacrificed. The story explores issues of tradition versus human rights through Krisi's eyes as she navigates a new culture and fights injustice.
