Archive 81 - and a question of cameras

Hello!

I really enjoyed the series 'Archive 81', and I just watched a short video about cameras that appeared on the show (link below).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzahKOiIiQY

I know absolutely nothing about cameras, but was wondering if someone that does could help me out with some queries.

1: If I wanted a character (much in 'Archive 81') to be specifically using a retro camera from the early 1990s but in contemporary times, would the camera have the facility to upload content directly to a laptop rather than a tape i.e., would there be a specific cable?

2: If a character finds old footage tapes from the 1980s (in the UK), what type of camera could have been used and what type of tape would it be? (NB: Probably would want to feature the use of the camera in modern times so, as above, could someone use custom cables to download content?)

3: Similar question to the above, except from the 1960s (in the USA), and, whether it would make a difference if the military had shot the footage?

Many thanks!

Mark

Ha ha, thanks Mario Leone, funnily enough that is about the only camera I recognise by name.

Hey Sam Rivera, hurrah! Someone that likes it. I wont say too much about it as Mark Deuce will be checking it out, but at times it was very creepy.

Genuinely interested to know what you think, after you have had a chance to watch it Mark Deuce
