I have yet to use a render farm to speed up getting my renders out, although I have seen several advertised. I also watched a video that explained how to build your own. Again I have to give a nod to Transformers and the incredible detail and resources needed to pull of these amazing visuals.
Has anyone signed up to a render farm? Has it been worth it? Any issues? Would you recommend it to a fellow artist?

Yeah - I have not yet used personally but studios have been using global render farms for years so I imagine in the right structure it's a great resource.

They have a lot of built in plugins that connect directly into render farms, so its more convenient than ever.
