Has anyone had issues with Vimeo screen-share videos not importing into a video editor? Or is there a Mac tool for that?

Has anybody had this problem besides me? For the last 2 days, I've been trying to import screensharing videos of me showing screenwriters how to use AI art generators, so they can produce their own movies from their own screenplays

. I tried it with Loom last night and today, and also with Vimeo last night and today, but it says the file extension is not correct. But it's an MP4, and MP4 files are supposedly ok to import into Canva and iMovie. (I know, I know...don't laugh..:) .I know Canva and iMovie are beginner tools, but I just can't afford the more expensive video editors. (At least...not yet!) Anyway, I took my Mac into the store, and the person at the Genius Bar seemed to fix the problem while I was there, but now it's still not working. Sooo frustrating. I even got so desperate that I tried holding up my old iPhone and videoing myself creating art on the AI art generator. Lol. (But that looked absolutely terrible.) Does anyone know if it's a Vimeo-to-Mac problem? I asked the Mac store if they have a screensharing tool that is compatible with Mac, and they didn't know. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Niki

Are you using Safari or Chrome?

Niki Galiano

I've tried it in both. No luck.

I think I'm just going to have to do a Vimeo video and not edit it...it kills me to not edit something, but I think that's my only option at this point.

Christopher Phillips

Niki Galiano since it’s just a demo, unedited is probably best way to go

Niki Galiano

Yeah, you're probably right. Thanks. (It's just that I have epilepsy and when I look at the computer too long, I start to get glitchy speech, and then I sound like a robot. Lol.)

Hey, Chris, I saw that you're a USAF vet. Were you ever stationed down in Tucson, by chance? I used to hang out with a bunch of pilots and their wives from Davis-Montham when I worked at St. Mary's hospital in downtown Tucson. (One of the wives was a pharmacist, like me.) I also dated an intelligence officer down there...but he would never tell me anything good. Lol.

Christopher Phillips

Niki Galiano Ah, not in Tucson. Guam and Grand Forks. Haven't been to Tucson. Must have been fun times!

Niki Galiano

Definitely...lots of fond memories!

Christopher Phillips Hey, Chris, I came up with an idea. What do you think of you and I creating a sit-com called "Wings"...except instead of being set in Nantucket, we could set it in one of the places where you were stationed, like North Dakota....or even Guam! (I've never been to Guam...that could be cool.) Anyway, we could write it then pitch it to the actors who used to be on the original wings (Steven Weber and Tim Daly), and maybe they would be willing to make an appearance on the pilot episode.... sort of like how Paul Rudd did on the pilot of Party Down. I sent you a connection request...
