Matt Edwards

Matt Edwards is a professional actor, screenwriter, and former award winning Saxophonist. He recently received his Masters in Screenwriting from Western Colorado University, and has written and produced a number of short films. Matt can be seen later this year in season 2 of Sacrifice, streaming on BET+/Amazon.

Matt grew up in Pollock Pines, a small town in Northern California, before moving to LA. For four years he performed as a Marvel character at Disneyland, and starred in numerous plays at Defiance Theater Company in North Hollywood. Matt produced a podcast called "My Heroic Life," a project he ran during the pandemic to inspire others with mental health challenges to discover their own inner superhero.

Matt loves to write grounded sci-fi genre stories that explore themes of friendship, hope, love, and philosophy. He also loves to infuse comedy into his stories whenever possible. When he's not writing or acting, you can typically find Matt out on the beach playing Ultimate Frisbee, dog sitting, or attending a new screening with friends.
