About Lelde
My goal has always been to create world-class detective series. My grandfather was a criminal police investigator, and I have been addicted to investigative stories since childhood.
I have a master's degree in film production and currently, at the age of 31, I already work also as a teacher in university, where I teach students the basics of TV series production.
In Latvia, my debut novel "Lost without a trace" became a bestseller, and I produced an original series in two seasons that was based on my novel. The main roles were played by the best actors in Latvia.
The series was shown on the second-largest streaming platform in Latvia "Tet", and my series became the most watched series in 2020 and 2021. I was the general producer, and my husband was the director and screenplay author for both seasons.
After the audience response and high ratings, we wrote the next original script "The Uninvited Guests," about a murder at a birthday party and how the case becomes the most difficult investigation case for two investigators from different generations.
With this project, we got even more audience response, amazing ratings, and reviews, so we will shoot season 2 this year. This year, my fifth novel "Mistrust" about a woman who suspects that her husband is connected to a brutal murder in a small town will reach readers. My publisher is one of the biggest Latvian book publishers "Latvian Media"
I believe I am just at the beginning of the journey and I really want my cinema to be seen internationally. My biggest dream is to reach Netflix and I am ready to work more harder to get there someday.
