Simone Catania is a director and producer. In 2007 he co-founded Indyca in Turin (Italy), an independent production company oriented to international co-production cinema movies. Graduated at Eurodoc in 2011 and Eave in 2013 Simone produced films that premiered at important international festival like Venice Film Festival, SXSW, IDFA, HotDocs, nominated at EFA, Nastri d'Argento to name a few. Among his previous productions there are “Cuban Dancer“ an Italian/Canadian/Chilean coproduction (Knight Made in Mia Award at Miami International Film Festival 2021, Audience Award at San Francisco International Film Festival 2021); “We are the Thousand” (Audience Award at SXSW 2021, Winner at JIMFF 2021), “Happy Winter” (Official Selection at Venice Film Festival 2017); “Becoming Zlatan” (IDFA 2015, nominated at EFA 2016), “smoKings” (Jury Prize at Visions du Réel 2014, Winner at Festival dei Popoli 2014). In 2018 he directed his first feature film "Drive me Home", premiered at TFF and distributed in over 40 countries.
