About Virginia

Virginia is a director-writer-producer, who shifted her pursuit of acting, to help create the types of stories she longed to see being made; stories that celebrate the complex female experience. Instead of the airbrushed characters that flood our screens, Virginia founded her company, AudreyDay, in 2020 to focus on telling stories about the true female experience: our imperfections, our flaws, our wrinkles, and our secrets. She moved to LA and started working professionally as an actress at the age of 15. These formative years led her to discover her passion for directing and filmmaking. She also worked as a casting intern on such shows as “The Messengers” (CW), “Eye Candy” (MTV), and Ouija (Universal). In the pandemic, as many movies paused filming, Virginia wrote and directed her AWARD-WINNING short, TOUCHED, starring Maddie Nichols (Emergency, Sundance 2022), about a survivor finding love again one year after her campus sexual assault. TOUCHED screened at festivals across the country, partnering with RAINN, the nation’s leading hotline against sexual violence. Their information was listed at the end of the film. Virginia is now working towards making the feature-length version. Virginia can be seen in the MGM + Elizabeth Bank’s film Bottoms, directed by Emma Seligman (Shiva Baby), which will headline SXSW 2023. In her years in front of the camera, Virginia appeared on such shows as “Queer as Folk” (Peacock), “Leverage: Redemption” (IMDB TV), and “Criminal Minds” (CBS). Virginia is committed to telling stories that break the stereotypes of female characters in regard to age, appearance, life experiences, and more.
