About Sallie

Author of the Quest of the Guardians book series, I'm in the process of learning screenwriting. Like a sponge, I'm on a quest to absorb information from every available source, to learn as much as I can...and then utilize that information to improve my writing and expand into screenwriting.

NOTE: I have almost a decade of experience beta-reading novels and short stories for other authors...but zero experience reading screenplays/scripts (other than the movie scripts I've read in the last several months, that is...). I'd love to remedy that by reading some screenplays for others! While I'm a rookie screenwriter, still learning the craft and formatting, I can tell you if what I'm reading makes sense, did I get lost or confused, if I notice a plot hole, typos and spelling errors, and point out inconsistencies (such as a character suddenly teleporting to a different country without explanation), etc... Unique traits: Degree in Equestrian Arts with an instructor's certification. Trained and taught 3-day eventing. Class A CDL: Snow-plow operator for seven years and harvest driver for fourteen years. I was a professional photographer for fifteen years; film and digital, and also taught photography at the local college. I've worn many hats and enjoy learning new skills.
