Mexico native and USC film school grad Mario Rivas crafts screenplays that traverse genres and subvert conventions--no surprise from an endlessly curious fella who loves art, science, and philosophy. Mario’s scripts have found success in the industry’s top contests, including the Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival, Shore Scripts, Filmmatics, WeScreenplay, Stage 32 Happy Writers, and American Zoetrope; and his short plays have been produced in San Pedro, CA and Durango, CO. He's currently developing his drama "Ole Miss" with the help from an established producer.
