This is a critical review of an older movie which defines the difference between very good writing and not so very good writing. So for sanity sake, just have another look at your script. Cheers my friends :)

Greetings S32ers!
While I am not deluded enough (sadly) to think me putting some well-known actors on a cast wish list will result in them magically wanting to be involved with a project, does IMDbPro have the facility to search for actors by criteria, or is it more logical to target films in the sam...

Why I LOVE outlining -- it's the first time I get to come up with a really cool story.
Why I LOVE writing a 1st draft -- it's the first time I get to create vibrant characters for that really cool story from before and give it a sort of life.
Why I HATE doing rewrites -- I am not the kind of person...

Someone once said - I think Linda Seger or another expert on screenwriting - that rewriting is the ability to showcase your story even more.
Just wanted to let you know that I went to my very first film festival gala last Sunday. I didn't win anything (Ughh), but I had a blast and met a lot of people. I did a shift early last year and started submitting my scripts to film festivals more than script contests. BAM! I was selected to numero...

Hey everyone,
I'm structuring a show that follows two characters across different stages of their lives together and apart (in the present, in their early 20s and as teens). The past intersects with the present to reveal the full story of their lives together. I'm looking for examples of shows that...
Expand postFellow Travelers traces a relationship from the 1950's to the 1980's jumping between timelines throughout the episodes of the miniseries. It's also brilliantly written. (warning: very explicit sexual content).
I've only seen one season of Yellowjackets and it's quite violent, but it was incredibly successful at telling the story of its characters across two (and sometimes more) timelines simultaneously.
Hey folks, have you consistently found good coverage on your scripts from any specific Shore Scripts or ScreenCraft analysts? If so, let me know their analyst number(s) and I'd like to give them a go! Direct message me, thanks!
Both are good (IMO) - I tend to favor Shore as my final check prior to rewriting for final (nearly?) draft. Screencraft? I have to admit some amateurish coverage has happened; though mostly decent.
Thanks Matthew Kelcourse. Any analyst numbers you have found to be good? You can select a specific analyst from the drop down menu on Coverfly.
Brad Cooper you might want to contact them and ask for a recommendation for the genre/audience you are targeting. For example: I'm exclusively action/sci-fi/adventure and I would prefer someone who fa...

Mix two movies to come up with a new idea.

Expand postHaha Maurice. You remember my logline from the logline section. Sadly there was never a script. How I came up with it, I probably got from the title Analyze This to Analyze Fish, then the rest was easy. I must say it didn't come out of nowhere. I did a lot of "Analyze" "This" and "That".
Feading all the info of the old (2016) logline into ChattGPT it came up with:
"In 'Analyze Fish,' a greedy Dolphin Shrink initially agrees to manipulate a depressed Loan Shark into committing suicide f...
